How to Join or Create a Gang

Gangs are player-created alliances that function as elite groups within Downtown Gangstaz. To join a Gang, you must be Level 15 or above and not already in another Gang. Simply search for existing Gangs in the Gang HQ and send a join request. The Gang Boss or Underboss must accept you before you become a member.

To create your own Gang, you must be at least Level 20 and also Gang-free. Creating a Gang lets you customize the name, assign roles, and begin building your reputation as a leader. Gangs are limited to 10 members, so choose your teammates wisely.

Gang Roles (Boss, Underboss, etc.)

Within each Gang, there are four possible ranks:

  • Gang Boss: The creator and leader of the Gang. Only the Boss can assign other leaders or transfer ownership.

  • Underboss: Appointed by the Boss. They can approve join requests and assign “Right Hand” roles.

  • Right Hand: Up to 3 members can hold this role. They help manage daily Gang operations.

  • Gangstaz: Regular members. They can edit their taglines and participate in Gang activities.

Roles aren’t just titles — they carry real privileges that affect how the Gang operates. Gang bosses should promote wisely to maintain order and strength.

Gang XP, Free Hits

Gangs level up through Gang XP, which is earned by completing activities like donating units and performing Free Hits. As your Gang gains XP, it levels up, unlocking greater rewards, perks, and recognition across the server.

Free Hits allow you to attack enemies who have recently defeated your Gang members — with no level restrictions. This feature helps even the odds in turf wars and lets lower-level players strike back at higher-level threats.

Being active in a Gang not only provides protection and social benefits but also enhances your overall progression and access to rare rewards.
